For the second year in a row the Colonie Center Car Show marks an exciting moment for motorsports fans in the Capital Region. When the cars roll into the mall and the racing community comes together, it’s a clear sign of one thing — the racing season is right around the corner.
This year, I had the opportunity to be part of the event alongside Lebanon Valley Kart Track, helping showcase the world of kart racing to everyone walking through the show. Being part of this event felt like a monumental moment to help kick off the 2026 racing season.
The Lebanon Valley Kart Track display gave visitors a chance to see karts up close and learn more about the sport. For many people, it was their first time getting a real look at what kart racing is all about. Throughout the event, kids and adults alike stopped by with questions about the track, the racing program, and how someone can get started. Seeing that curiosity and excitement is always a reminder of how powerful the racing community can be.
Events like this are about more than just the cars and karts on display. They bring together drivers, teams, fans, and families who all share the same passion for motorsports. As a photographer and media creator, it’s always special to capture these moments and help tell the story of the community that surrounds racing.
With the car show here and the buzz of racing in the air, it’s safe to say that the countdown to the 2026 season has officially begun. If the excitement from this weekend is any indication, it’s going to be an incredible season at Lebanon Valley Kart Track.
Thank you to Lebanon Valley Kart Track for including me in such a great event and to everyone who stopped by to talk racing. The season is almost here, and we’re ready for it.
